Auf seinen ton- und kalkhaltigen B\u00f6den baut der Mensch hier die traditionellen lokalen Rebsorten an: Syrah, Grenache (schwarz wei\u00df und grau), Carignan, Mourv\u00e8dre und Muscat, neben anderen Rebsorten wie Merlot und Cinsault, um seine aromatische Palette zu erweitern. Das Ch\u00e2teau Montana setzt auf umweltfreundliche Anbaumethoden. Das Weingut, das bereits seit vielen Jahren mit dem Zertifikat Haute Valeur Environnemental&#8221; ausgezeichnet ist, wird heute biologisch bewirtschaftet.
