Remarkably, some of Lauriga&#8217;s vines are planted on ancient terraces with very stony soils, in the form of rolled pebbles that warm up quickly and whose virtues have always been appreciated by the ancients.  The diversity of its terroir enables a subtle range of wines to be produced. Ch\u00e2teau Lauriga makes it a point of honour to respect the environment by preserving biodiversity and the people who tend the vines.  Originally called &#8220;Laurinya&#8221;, this ancient terroir is located in the Aspres, in the commune of Thuir, the birthplace of Byrrh.
