Founded in 1968, the association is affiliated to the Fédération Française d'Education Physique et de Gymnastique Volontaire, and has been approved by the Ministry of Youth and Sport since 1986. Classes are run by federal instructors who take part in ongoing training throughout the year. Gymnastique Volontaire Féminine is divided into 3 sections: dynamic gymnastics, gentle gymnastics and yoga.
