The Jud Club de Thuir was officially founded on 21 November 1956 by two brothers, Emile and Louis ROCHER, who had discovered judo in 1952. From 1970 to 1979, the club experienced a period of stagnation. It was in 1980 that the club took off again. The Thuir Judo Club now has around a hundred members of all ages, all members of the FFJDA, and a 250m² dojo provided by the town of Thuir.
