The Sociéte Mixte de Tir de Thuir is one of the oldest sports associations in the region, having been in existence since 6 December 1885. Many volunteers have succeeded one another at the head of the association. Today, the association's objectives are focused on competition (at departmental and regional level), but also on training instructors and referees, and on setting up a shooting school just a few years ago, with very promising results.
