CHATEAU MONTANA

At the foot of the Pic du Canigou, Château Montana in Banyuls Dels Aspres is a wine estate that extends over the Aspres terroir. On its clay-limestone soils, the estate grows the traditional local grape varieties: Syrah, Grenache (black, white and grey), Carignan, Mourvèdre and Muscat, alongside other varieties such as Merlot and Cinsault to broaden its aromatic palette. Château Montana is committed to environmentally-friendly growing practices. The estate has already held High Environmental Value certification for a number of years, and is now organically farmed. As we are committed to preserving biodiversity, we favour low yields per hectare and traditional methods.
